I can't believe it's New Years' Eve and only 12 more days till we meet! I was looking at some You Tube videos the other night of orphanages in Vietnam and thinking of all those wee little babies waiting to join their forever families. There was a beautiful song playing...
Here I am
This is me
I come into this world so wild and free
Here I am so young and strong
Right here in the place where I belong.
It's a new world
It's a new start
It's a life with a beating of a young heart
It's a new day in a new land
And it's waiting for me
Here I am
The next week is filled with lots of packing, and finishing off the nursery... it's really pink!
Happy New Year sweetie!

T'was the night before Christmas...

It's Christmas eve and we're snuggled down for the night - record snowfall in Vancouver! The puppies have played in the snow and are all tuckered out. We're hoping Santa will fill Emily's stocking with lots of toys! I'm gonna post the 3rd picture we've received of Emily - she is doing lots of growing... just look at those cheeks!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Twenty one days to go - making travel arrangements

Day two of blogging ... so far so good! We are busy making our travel arrangments and right now are emailing back and forth to arrange a hotel in Hanoi. The adoption agency has recommended The Hanoi Elegance, and we find out there are 4 locations and the one we want is full. Late January is a busy season in Vietnam as the Lunar celebration of Tet is January 26th, and I'm sure hotel spaced is filling up. I'll attach the second picute we received of Emily on Dec 5th, she is growing bigger and looks sweet as can be. Night night baby!

Here is our daughter Emily!

This is day one of blogging ... not too sure how it will go but let's give it a whirl. Darcy and I would like to chronicle our voyage to Vietnam to meet our baby daughter Emily. We gaze at her picture and cannot wait until she is in our arms forever. This has been the best Christmas ever for us and our faith in future has been restored. We are now dreaming every night of all the adventures we will have with Emily, and the wonderful moments together! Here is the first picture we saw of our little angel, we must have looked at this picture for about an hour. We could not believe that this precious little girl would be coming into our lives - she looks so wise. She had us at hello!
